Three roommates brought a couch for $20 and found $40,000 in banknotes burred inside the couch and returned it back to the 91 year old man upstate New York widow had hidden it underneath the couch. WABC- TV in New York has proclaims that a State University in New York at New Paltz student and his two roommates found the money loaded in envelopes hidden in the couch they got it from salvation army in march previously.
Student Reese Werkhoven from New York City said he was the one to find the first collected pack of money. Then they started to search the couch and found lots of packed envelopes in the couch a social worker with the Woodstock Family who shared the same apartment along with two friends in New Paltz from the north of New York City. Directly opening his mouth everybody said was it an a believable amount of money.
The three roommates bought back the couch and a chair for $55 at salvation army then they noticed.
